Allexi Alligator is head chef at Gator’s Gap – a celebrated (and entirely meat-free) diner nestled deep in the Louisiana marshland.

Renowned for his tofu chowder, Allexi puts a veggie twist on classic Southern staples – and takes pride in feeding just about anyone who wanders into his swampy kitchen.

Even Amuseables Peanut, who was wildly off-route and famished after gator-frogging his way across the Gap, received a warm Southern welcome.

(Allexi didn’t charge him a dime. It’s not every day someone cartwheels through mid-lunch service!)
